Warum steht bei den Credits von Natale eigentlich T. Parlo? Ist damit Christian Morgenstern gemeint? Irgendwie kann ich mir das nicht vorstellen...

Ui, das ist 'ne alte Geschichte.

Das grobe "warum" habe ich vor ein paar Monaten bei Casa Dag gelesen, und dann hab' ich noch bei Discogs eine verständliche Erklährung von Daft gefunden:

Als Gigi den Song produziert hat, wusste er nicht mehr, von wem das Original war und konnte die Vinyl von Morgenstern nicht finden.

Er erinnerte sich lediglich, dass der Titel etwas mit Weihnachten zu tun hatte, also nannte er sein Remake "Natale". Und als Komponist setze er "T. Parlo" quasi als Platzhalter für Morgenstern ein, mit der Botschaft an ihn, sich zu melden -> T. Parlo -> Te parlo -> Melde dich!

Leider ist Morgenstern schon 2003 gestorben und konnte nicht mit Gigi in Kontakt treten.

Bin mir nicht sicher ob das schon irgendwo erwähnt wurde, die Vocals von "Parlotta" sind jedenfalls vom Song "Copyright Ft. Mr V & Ms Patty - In Da Club"...

Das mit "Testa Alta" ist komisch: Das meiste kommt wohl von "Bring The Noise", aber dann fehlt immer noch das "again sir".

Und "Radio" wird da auch anders betont. Oder? Was meint ihr?

Allerdings finde ich das kurze Sample von Flavor Flav im zweiten Teil nicht (bei dem "it's time to play the lyrics"-Abschnitt).

"Renato Carosone - Tu Vuo' Fa' L'Americano" kam schon 1956 als "Single" raus (ich hatte bisher nur die Platte von 1975 gefunden). Ich nehme an, das ist auch die Version, die ich im Radio gehört habe, statt der, die es bei YT zuhören gibt.

Edit: Ah, es gibt doch beide Versionen auf YT. ^_^ Naja, ich werde mir die Platte wohl kaufen!

Ich hör's mir gerade mal an ... es ist eine Adaption von Bach, Gigi und Fede haben das ja auch schon umgesetzt.

Und auf der Platte wird Bach dann nicht erwähnt, grummel.

Aber einen Zusammenhang zu "Ferrest Gump Suite" höre ich nicht ...

Which suggests that these "Ey" vocals are sung by Anne Dudley

Klingt gut! Abgesehen davon hab' ich nie was über "DJ Splash - The Miracle Maker" rausgefunden.

Edit: Hier kommt wohl der "Miracle Maker" her.

Im Hauptthread arbeite ich noch am "Look-Out", also nicht wundern, wenn ihr da neue Beiträge seht, die nichts Neues beinhalten.

Da Brat, the Big Bug Dub Mix contains just melody, whilst the Big Bug Vox Mix uses also the vocal excerpt "Just let me be your lady bug! 24 hours a day I'll give you love".
