Would be so good... i dunno what to believe anymore... this Casablanca live was announced everywhere, Gigi made 5-6 posts about this single live in his Tour topic, changed the main flyer to it etc, it was overhyped... i thought maybe he will surprise us with a Mondo Reale announcement... but apparently not... :-/

I know that basically its a live announcement (which is a bit uncommon from Gigi @ facebook by a simple post), but the line i have formatted bold may mean something important regarding the disc, if Google Translator is right... so, could someone please translate it properly please? I can't see whats the point there... we shouldn't be surprised by things like this. :) Let me tell you some interesting fact: - On one hand, Gigi is publishing album with title "Suono Libero" (=Sound of freedom) - on the other hand he / his agent deletes every content, which has anything (!) to do with his name, aliases (Dottor Dag, LVM etc), style ("lento violento"), symbol (mon/mai), title of any of his track, etc... yeah man, that's what i call sound of freedom, totally. - He is constantly using thousands and thousands of other artist's vocals, tunes, samples & voices (i havent told anything new, we all know that) - Mad World remix on live, 50 Cent, Eminem's & Public Enemy's voice in cammino tracks, "Hoobastank - The Reason" remix etc, there are a million one (or much more..) - the question is: does he always really get the appropriate rights from the artists / publishers before creating a remix of any of these tracks... ? Really.. ? (well, if he does, burst of applause, and my apologize) - Fun of the year: back in time he released the acapella of Wellfare by his own: he decided to do this to let us make some remixes. Well, so far so good, it was a nice step. Now we are in 2012: he (or his agent) has deleted / is deleting every single Wellfare remix from the internet. Cool. And a really funny thing, just to make it more clear: Recently i created a mashup music from a song, which just got pre-released (Amy Macdonald - Slow it down, that time it wasn't available physically yet, only on YouTube) & L'Amour Toujours, mixed them together (because they perfectly match, but that is not the point at all). I put it online (on YT) 2 or 3 days (!!) after the new Amy track got "pre-released" on YouTube. Though in the description i gave every possible legal notice (No copyright infringement intended, the original author / publisher is XY, discogs link of the tracks, release date, bla bla, so i really gave every single legal notice in the description that is available), i was totally sure, that it is going to be removed, because Universal Music (Amy's publisher) won't like the idea so much that i created a mashup of a song which is not even released in a physical format yet. I was quite sure that they will manage to remove it. ... but actually ... ... No. They didn't care about it. It was still online after a week, and more. But finally on a bright & sunny day it has been removed, after many views. Not because of Amy's side - Universal Music and Amy's team didn't give a sh!t about it. But Gigi / his personal warrior did, and they managed to remove it. LOL. No other expressions needed. (Lessons learned: L'Amour Toujours [after more than 10 years of its releasing] is still more protected, then a fresh, "just-released" track.) (i guess, some italian should really explain him that its not so cool what is currently going on, and he / his agent shouldn't take these things so seriously) @Kelis - Milkshake (Killerbee Lento Violento Remix): btw it was a pretty good remix, its too bad that it got deleted.

New version (0.5.6) up - i fixed a problem causing "Access Violation" error in case of empty list (right after installing), now it should work for everyone. Please let me know if you have any problems using it. Download link is updated in the first post.

Hi fellow GFU members! I wrote a tiny file-system (wfx) plugin for Total Commander, which makes possible to retrieve the current list of Gigi D'Agostino lives from the official page easily & quickly. Download: Removed due to copyright actions of Mr. D'Agostino. Features: Retrieve the list of tourdates / lives with the speed of light (discoteca, city, country, date) Online distance measurement (the plugin automatically detects the distance between your city and every single live location) [you can see it in Size field] Different icons for active (future) and past lives (plus the past lives got -a-- [archive] attribute) Properties: double-click (or press Enter) on an item to see its detailed informations in a dialog window Automatic save & load of past tourdates How To Use: You can install the plugin by pressing Enter key on the downloaded zip file inside Total Commander, it will automatically ask for installing the plugin. After installation a dialog appears, which asks for your City, and the used Metric (km / miles) - this is only needed to retrieve the distances between your city & the tourdate locations with the help of a Google service. You can tick the "I don't want to use online distance measurement", if you'd like to turn this feature off. After installation you can find the plugin by clicking on the "Network" drive in Total Commander - it is listed as "GigiDAG Live". Double click on it / press enter to see the list of the lives. Zwergal, partially i agree with you, but CasaDag is a single thing... it's an almost totally closed little community, not an open system. Its like another universe - and i don't say its bad at all, all i say is just the official forum is not really for the whole world, its just for real fans... plus the Facebook is multilingual (with fans from the whole world), while the forum isn't really - the most active users are all from Italy there. For example, on FB we could also see some new live pictures from Gigi's tours, posted by others... on CasaDag you won't find any, since such content is totally banned. It was an internation clip between the fans... Every single artist i know can be found on Facebook, and they often post little notes like "going to the studio... see ya!" or "mhh, i feel like its time to create a remix of XY track", etc... and i know that Gigi is not this kind of person (would be good, though...), but it was nice to see that at least he's using Facebook as well, even if mainly for posting tourdates... Yeah, and what can he / she do with these dates, if the person lives 1k-2k miles from Italy, or more.. ? :) One can't simply go to every single tour - i know a lot of person who can't even afford a single live, since it would be too expensive for them... so for them Gigi is kinda "retired" from the music scene (as well as for the rest of the world), since he doesn't releases anything that could be heard by the whole world (including them)... only by italians, mainly. So i say, it is a backward step from Gigi... back in time i was hoping that maybe in the future he will use Facebook / Twitter more often, even to tell us little special notes like the above, but it seems the truth is something totally else, and all we got is CasaDag, Gigi doesn't exists for the rest of the world on other channels...

Ooh, thank you for the explanation, hlennarz! So it may happened because of the "cow" cover on the top, i guess... first i thought that Facebook has deleted the page, and not Gigi. But it seems it was himself, right... ? Maybe because of a Facebook notice? However actually it is a big loss imo, since every single artist / producer / dj has a Facebook, even most of my friend's pets have one, lol... sad thing or not, in today's world its a "must have", especially for "celebrities" / famous persons - its an important communication channel, plus a sign of "hey, im there in the scene too, i'm alive and active"... a lots of people already think that Gigi is "retired", since he never really cares about the media and things, and doesn't releases discs / singles so often - now he just became more invisible... hope it will be back..
